In FluentCommunity, you can create, share, and even monetize spaces for both private and public audiences. This guide will walk you through the process of monetizing your spaces within FluentCommunity.
Set Up Your Space in FluentCommunity #
Create or Edit a Space #
Start by creating a new Space in FluentCommunity or using an existing one. For a detailed guide on Space creation, check out this documentation here.
Set Space Privacy to Private #
Navigate to the space you wish to monetize, then click on the three-dot button in the top left corner and select the Space Settings option.
Now set the Space privacy to Private and select Custom Lock Screen. This change is essential for restricting access and introducing monetization. After setting the Space to private, click on the Lock Screen option at the top menu.
Enable Lock Screen #
Here, you can customize a Lock Screen with a Call to Action (CTA) button. Refer to this Lock Screen documentation for design tips.
Add a Payment Option Using Fluent Forms #
You will need Fluent Forms Pro to complete these steps.
Create a Payment Form #
In Fluent Forms, create a new payment form by adding essential fields and a Payment Field for the Space price. Save the form once completed.
User Registration or Update Integration Feed #
Now go to the Settings & Integration option of the form then choose Configure Integration from the left sidebar.
Click on the Add New Integration button and select the User Registration or Update Integration option.
Here configure your User Registration Integration Feed by mapping your necessary fields. You can also select User Role from here.

FluentCRM Integration Feed #
Add the FluentCRM Integration Feed now from the Add New Integration.
Next, give your FluentCRM integration feed a name and, most importantly, add a List to this feed.
For example, we previously created a list called “Premium Space” in FluentCRM to help with effective segmentation. Now, simply add that List here. For more information on creating and managing lists, check out this documentation.
Map the remaining details as needed, and when everything is set, click the Save button to apply your changes.
Landing Page setup #
You can now set up a Landing Page for your form in Fluent Forms. Head over to the Settings & Integration section of the form and select Landing Page from the left sidebar. Enable the landing page by checking the Enable Form Landing Page Mode option.
Click the Share button to get the landing page URL. Publish your form, and copy its URL. For more details on customizing your Landing Page, refer to this documentation.
You can also create a WooCommerce product and use its payment method to monetize your space. Then, run a FluentCRM automation funnel to automatically add members to the space after payment.
Link the Payment Form to the Lock Screen #
Now, go back to your Lock Screen’s CTA button and paste the form URL into the Button Link field.
Create an Automation Funnel in FluentCRM to Grant Space Access #
To add a user to the Space, you’ll need to create an automation in the FluentCRM plugin. Follow these steps to set it up.
You will need FluentCRM Pro to complete these steps.
First, go to FluentCRM Automation and click on the Create New Automation button.
Select Create from Scratch here.
Provide an internal label for your Automation Funnel and select CRM from the sidebar. Next, choose the List Applied trigger and click the Continue button.
In the List Applied configuration options, click on Select List and choose the list you previously added in your FluentCRM Integration Feed within Fluent Forms. For example, we’ve selected the “Premium Space” list, which we used earlier in our FluentCRM Integration Feed setup.
Now click on the Save Settings button.
Click on the Plus icon button then Add Action/ Goal in your funnel.
Here, you’ll find a variety of available actions, including specific Actions for Fluent Community. Select the Add to a Space action from the list. For more details about the Actions, please refer to this documentation.
In the Action Configuration section, select the Space where you want to add your member. Once you’ve chosen the appropriate Space, click the Save button to apply your changes.
Now, simply Publish your Automation Funnel by toggling the button.
Start Selling Your Space #
With these settings, your Space is ready to be sold. When users visit the Space, they’ll see the Lock Screen with the CTA button directing them to the payment form. Upon completion, you can grant them access to the space.
